Biden reaffirms support for sustainable Armenia-Azerbaijan peace

PanARMENIAN.Net - The United States reaffirms support for a sustainable peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, U.S. President Joe Biden said in a letter to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Novruz Bayram.

On behalf of the American people, I send our best wishes to you and the people of Azerbaijan for a joyous and peaceful Novruz Bayram.

“…In this season of renewal and reflection – the United States reaffirms our support for a sustainable peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia – which will promote security and prosperity across the South Caucasus for generations to come,” Biden said, according to a statement published by Aliyev’s office.

Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfried spoke with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov on Monday, March 27 morning and expressed concern over Azerbaijani military movements, Principal Deputy Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State Vedant Patel told a briefing on Monday.
