The two discussed issues related to the ongoing crisis caused by Azerbaijan's illegal blocking of the Lachin Corridor. The sides exchanged thoughts on recent developments, Armenia-Azerbaijan negotiation process, peace agenda. Pashinyan and Michel emphasized consistent efforts to ensure stability and peace in the region. Since December 12, the sole road connecting Nagorno Karabakh to Armenia - the Lachin Corridor - has been blocked by self-described Azerbaijani environmentalists. Karabakh residents have reported food and fuel shortages, while hospital patients don't have access to essential medicines, with only a handful allowed transfer to facilities in Armenia proper. ![]() ![]() Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will leave for Sochi on June 7 on a three-day working visit. The delegation headed by Armenian National Assembly President Alen Simonyan is leaving for Turkey. For more than 10 days, observers of the European Union mission in Armenia have been conducting patrols.
