Armenia ready for CSTO mission, says Pashinyan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia is ready for the deployment of CSTO mission on its soil, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told reporters on Thursday, April 20, Aysor.am reports.

“Our desire is for the eventual mission to be effective. This is important for Armenia, and for the CSTO, and for the region. We continue to work in this direction,” Pashinyan said.

He noted that one cannot compare the missions of the CSTO and the EU, since the CSTO has security obligations to Armenia, just as Armenia has such obligations to other members of the organization.

“Our expectations from the CSTO mission should be higher than from the EU mission,” Pashinyan said.
