Karabakh: Azerbaijan deploys scanners at illegal checkpoint

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan has deployed Smiths Detection scanners at an illegal border checkpoint on the Lachin corridor - the sole route connecting Nagorno Karabakh to Armenia.

According to a report from Minval.az, these scanners ensure "automatic detection of solid and liquid explosives in hand luggage"

Azerbaijani authorities on April 23 set up a checkpoint on the only road connecting Karabakh with Armenia. Baku also maintained that they have informed the command of the Russian peacekeepers about the installment of the checkpoint.
