A nation that survived Genocide can surprise everyone with its achievements
"Dear Compatriots,

On April 24, we commemorate the victims of the Armenian Genocide. We grieve over those who fell prey to the unprecedented heinous crime. Today, we can't forget about the people who survived the Great Massacres and after facing deportation and poverty, found strength to settle in their homeland or Diaspora," the NA Speaker said in his address. Hovik Abrahamyan also expressed his gratitude to the countries which have officially recognized and condemned the Armenian Genocide. We cannot tolerate genocide denial, Abrahamyan says. In his address, the parliamentary speaker stressed that a nation which has survived Genocide can surprise everybody with its brilliant achievements. "Looking back to our history, I become more and more convinced that the Armenians are capable of overcoming all kinds of hardships with joint efforts," Hovik Abrahamyan says in the conclusive part of his address.
