Young Armenian chess players win Youth Championship medals

PanARMENIAN.Net - Young Armenian chess players have won medals, including one gold, at the World Youth Chess Championship in Montesilvano, Italy.

In particular, Robert Piliposyan won gold at the World U16 Rapid Chess Championship, after scoring 8.5 points out of 11.

Tyhran Ambartsumianm meanwhile, snatched the bronze medal at the World U12 Rapid Chess Championship with the same result.

Aleks Sahakyan and Mariam Khachatryan are also among the prize winners of the World Youth Rapid Chess Championship. Sahakyan scored 8.5 points out of 11 and shared the 3-4 places. With extra indications Aleks took the 4th place. Khachatryan scored 7 points and shared the 4-5 places. With extra indications Mariam took the 4th place.
