Armenian Plant again hit by Azerbaijan’s cross-border fire

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Azerbaijani military opened fire on a metallurgical plant currently under construction in Armenia for a second time on Friday, June 16, the Defense Ministry of Armenia reports.

Azerbaijan also disseminated disinformation and accused the Armenian side of violating the ceasefire, which the Defense Ministry denied on Friday.

Two workers building the new plant in an Armenian border village were seriously wounded on Wednesday, June 14 in cross-border fire from nearby Azerbaijani army positions.

The workers, identified by the Defense Ministry in Yerevan as Indian nationals Muhammad Asif and Mirhasan Sahajan, were reportedly hospitalized as a result. They underwent surgery on Wednesday, their condition was described as not life-threatening.
