Pianist and composer Hayk Melikyan to give concert in AmsterdamApril 27, 2009 - 22:28 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On May 3, pianist and composer Hayk Melikyan, Orleans International Contest laureate and winner of numerous other awards, will give a solo concert in Gelvinka museum, Amsterdam. The musician will perform works by famous composers Rachmaninoff, Babajanyan, Chopin, Stravinsky, Andriessesen on piano dating back to 1948.Hayk Melikyan, 29, was tutored by Irina Grishensky, Alexander Gourgenov and Vardan Achemyan. Later, he continued his education in Yerevan State Conservatory. Today, he is the author of 3 symphonic and choir compositions and songs as well as a solo piano program.
