“New record”: Baku responds to Yerevan sending new peace proposals

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has commented on the statement by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that Yerevan has sent new proposals for a peace agreement to Baku.

During a joint press conference with his Belgian counterpart Hadja Lahbib, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister described Pashinyan’s announcement as a "new record", as he said the proposals had been sent to Azerbaijan 40 minutes earlier.

Bayramov claimed that it takes one or two months for Yerevan to respond to Baku’s proposals, and an additional day or two for an announcement.

According to the Azerbaijani diplomat, such actions by the Armenian authorities demonstrate that "Yerevan is less interested and less serious about the process of signing a peace agreement."
