The company intends to immediately launch Kars-Gyumri line construction upon final normalization of Armenian-Turkish ties, SCRW CJSC Director General Marat Khakov told a news conference today. According to him, all the necessary repair works have already been completed.

According to Khakov, Yerevan -Batumi train operations will be resumed in the beginning of June. The line will be operating in accordance with last year's timetable (on alternate days).

An increase in transportation speed of up to 50km/hr is scheduled for May.

As for transportation tariffs, SCRW CSJC Chief Engineer, Sergey Harutyunyan assured that no price increase is planned for Yerevan -Batumi train tickets, still, competitive prices should be provided as air transportation for the same route will soon be put into operation.

Summer passenger transportation services will launch on May 25, to begin with Yerevan-Sevan and Yerevan -Shorzha
