  Over 100 Karabakh patients still hospitalized in Armenia November 6, 2023 - 15:27 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - More than 100 patients forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh are still receiving treatment in various medical centers across Armenia, Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan told journalists on Monday, November 6, Aysor.am reports. The rehabilitation of burn patients injured in a fuel tank explosion in Nagorno-Karabakh will take quite a long time, Avanesyan added. The minister said that there is a positive dynamic among the 19 burn patients who were transferred abroad. Avanesyan mentioned that there are about ten patients whose condition is still serious. On September 19, Azerbaijan launched a military offensive against Nagorno-Karabakh, which left hundreds of Armenians killed and thousands of others displaced. On September 20, the authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh agreed to a ceasefire on Azerbaijan’s terms, including the dissolution of the Defense Army. On September 18, President of the Republic of Artsakh Samvel Shahramanyan signed a decree, according to which the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) will cease to exist by January 1, 2024. Over 100,000 displaced residents have already fled Nagorno-Karabakh and reached Armenia.
