  Armenian lifter Garik Karapetyan becomes World Junior Champion November 23, 2023 - 13:50 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia weightlifter Garik Karapetyan won gold in the men’s 102kg category at the IWF World Junior Championships in Guadalajara, Mexico on Thursday, November 23. Karapetyan lifted a total result of 378kg above his head to snatch the champion’s title. The Armenian team's Gor Sahakyan and Alexandra Grigoryan also won gold earlier in the championship. Back in August, Karapetyan won a gold medal at the European Under 20 and Under 23 weightlifting championships in Bucharest, Romania.
