Mkhitaryan, Khachanov endorse Aras Ozbiliz as FFA President

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian football player Henrikh Mkhitaryan and tennis player Karen Khachanov have supported former professional footballer Aras Ozbiliz for the post of President of the Armenian Football Federation.

I am pleased to see that such a high profile sportsman and personality like Aras Ozbiliz is a candidate for the FFA‘s presidency,” Mkhitaryan, who played alongside Ozbiliz in the Armenian national team, said in a statement on Friday, December 22.

“I am convinced that his knowledge on and off the field will benefit the growth of football in our country. I stand by you my friend and I wish you the best of luck!”

Khachanov, too, expressed support for Ozbiliz in the elections.

“A leading athlete who deserves to be president of the Armenian Football Federation. I am sure he will make a necessary contribution to the team,” Khachanov added.

Earlier, Ozbiliz was endirced by grandmaster Levon Aronian.
