Inter, Mkhitaryan reportedly agree to extend contract

PanARMENIAN.Net - Inter Milan and the experienced Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan are close to finalizing a new agreement, as reported by the football journalist Fabrizio Romano (via Daily Sports).

Both parties have reportedly discussed all the details and reached a common ground. The new deal for the Armenian midfielder with the club is expected to extend until the summer of 2025, while the current one expires in June 2024. An official announcement about the deal is expected soon.

Earlier reports indicated that Inter was working on extending contracts for two more players from their main squad.

In the current Serie A season, Henrikh has participated in 17 matches, registered two precise shots, and provided five assists. The highly experienced player has previously played for clubs such as Pyunik, Metalurh Donetsk, Shakhtar Donetsk, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Roma. Mkhitaryan has been with Inter since July 2022.

Inter currently holds the top spot in Serie A, leading Juventus by four points. On December 29, Simone Inzaghi's team will conclude the year with an away match against Genoa.
