NATO lauds Armenia’s “very clear decision” to distance itself from Moscow

PanARMENIAN.Net - Xavier Colomina, the special representative of the Secretary General of NATO in the South Caucasus, believes that Armenia has made a “very clear decision” to change its foreign policy, to distance itself from Moscow.

Colomina said in an interview with Georgia’s Public TV that NATO welcomes such developments.

“This is what we also welcomed, the citizens of Armenia have the freedom to make their own decisions and they have decided that,” Colomina said.

“In my opinion, Armenia has already started to get closer to us. They are demanding more cooperation, they are demanding more political dialogue and NATO's increased representation in our relations. We welcome the decisions of our partners, which we believe are good for the stability of the region, and this is very important to us.”
