Armenia to be represented at Louvre, envoy says

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia will be represented in a new department that Louvre – the most visited museum in the world with 9.6 million visitors per year – is going to open, French ambassador to Armenia Olivier Decottignies said on Friday, January 12.

“The Louvre is preparing the opening of a new department of Byzantine Arts and Christianity in the East, including Armenia,” Decottignies said.

“In Armenia, the Louvre is assisting in the redesign of the Erebuni Museum.”
