France says ready to support Armenia in vital projects

PanARMENIAN.Net - Paris is ready to support Armenia in vital projects, French ambassador to Yerevan Olivier Decottignies said during a meeting with the governor of Gegharkunik province, Karen Sargsyan, on Thursday, February 8.

According to a statement from Sargsyan’s office, Decottignies also said France is wiling to help strengthen and develop border settlements in Armenia.

While in Gegharkunik, the ambassador and representatives of the EU civilian mission in Armenia visited the village of Norabak, which is 4km away from the border with Azerbaijan.

“The presence of observers instills confidence in this isolated and vulnerable population,” Decottignies said in a tweet later.

“The mission is a tangible proof that they are not forgotten by the world.”
