U.S. supports continued dialogue between Armenia, Azerbaijan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State Matthew Miller has said the United States supports continued dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Miller made the remarks at a press briefing, when asked about Armenia and Azerbaijan possibly trying to move along through the negotiation process without any mediator.

“I don’t want to comment on that specifically, but I’ll say that we do obviously support continued dialogue around that issue,” Miller said.

“We believe it’s the best way to reach a sustainable end to the conflict, and we will continue to pursue it.”

Hours after Miller’s remarks, Azerbaijan opened fire on Armenian positions, killing two and injuring others, the Defense Ministry said.
