Azerbaijan, allies preparing attack on Armenia, says envoy

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ambassador of Armenia to Luxembourg, Belgium and the European Union Tigran Balayan has declared that Azerbaijan wants to attack Armenia ahead of a key trilateral meeting between Armenia, the United States and the EU.

“On Easter, the Aliyev regime in [Azerbaijan] & its allies want to attack Armenia in an attempt to derail the April 5th meeting” of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, aimed at the development and resilience of Armenia.

Babayan’s remarks come amid accusations from the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry that Armenia is allegedly amassing military hardware and troops along the border. EU observers stationed on the border have stated that there is no evidence of it.
