PM: Armenia carries out daily work to achieve release of POWs in Baku

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian government is carrying out daily work to achieve the release of the POWs, captives and other detainees who are unlawfully held in Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told a press conference on Saturday, Auguat 31, Armenpress reports.

The repatriation of prisoners, captives and other detainees is the most important term of the Armenia-Russia-Azerbaijan trilateral statement of 2020, Pashinyan said, expressing regret that this issue is overlooked while speaking about the statement.

“If the trilateral statements are the foundation, if we want to value the trilateral statements, we must read it from the first article and see who was supposed to do what that hasn’t been done. We are very concerned about the issue of the prisoners, captives and other detained persons. We are carrying out daily work in this direction. And understandably, this work is not visible, and this is the specificity of that work,” Pashinyan said.
