Pashinyan apologies; says rulers made Armenian people live in "historical cycle"September 16, 2024 - 12:43 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan believes rulers of different eras have forced the Armenian people to live in what he described as a "historical cycle". “The conceptual dilemma that is being discussed in our country today is as follows: what is the Republic of Armenia for: an outpost, a support point to have larger territory (the concept of a Historical Armenia) or a mechanism to ensure the well-being of its own citizens in its internationally recognized territory (the concept of a Real Armenia), with the understanding that good living, freedom, justice, security are the inseparable elements of well-being,” Pashinyan said in a social media post on Sunday, September 15. “My belief is that our people have made their choice long ago in favor of Real Armenia. “But we, the rulers at different times, did not listen to him, but essentially forced our people to live in the "historical cycle". “This is exactly why we should apologize to our people, and I apologize for my part.” Top stories Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult.
