In his last game, Hovhannisyan defeated Azerbaijani chess player Misratdin Iskandarov. Another representative of Armenia, Aram Hakobyan, scored 2.5 points, while Shant Sargsyan, Gabriel Sargissian, Manuel Petrosyan, Emin Ohanyan, Mamikon Gharibyan, Benik Agasarov, Robert Piliposyan, Erik Gasparyan and David Gevorgyan have 2 points each. Hayk Martirosyan and Hayk Yeritsyan, meanwhile, have secured 1.5 points each. The championship, which is taking place in Petrovac, Montenegro, involves 395 chess players from 42 countries.
