World Athletics to remove Armenia from competition manipulation watch list![]() December 5, 2024 - 15:56 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The World Athletics Council will remove Armenia from its competition manipulation watch list, according to a statement share by the council on Wednesday, December 4. The Council approved the introduction of a Competition Manipulation Watch List in 2022 in response to an Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) investigation prompted by reports of suspicious competition results. Following the 2024 annual review, and the progress made in enhancing officiating standards and processes, the following Member Federations will also be removed from the list: Albania, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Turkey and Uzbekistan, subject to conditions set by the Competition Commission. ![]() ![]() Armenia’s Narek Manasyan (92kg) won Armenia’s second silver medal at the European Boxing Championships 2024 on April 28.
