Armenia, U.S. to reportedly sign Strategic Partnership Agreement soon

PanARMENIAN.Net - Next week, Armenia the United States will sign the U.S.-Armenia Strategic Partnership Agreement in Washington DC, head of the For The Republic Party Arman Babajanyan said in a post on Facebook Tuesday, January 7.

Babajanyan described the deal as a “significant” step in strengthening bilateral relations. The agreement, he said, focuses on several critical areas.

“In security, it enhances cooperation on defense modernization, joint training, and regional stability efforts, providing Armenia with stronger tools to protect its sovereignty,” he said.

“In energy, it prioritizes investment in renewable energy projects, modernization of the energy grid, and sustainable energy technologies to boost Armenia’s energy independence.

“Economically, it promotes U.S. investments in IT, infrastructure, and agriculture, expands trade opportunities, and supports entrepreneurship to create high-value jobs.

“In technology, it fosters collaboration in AI, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure to accelerate Armenia’s innovation-driven growth.”

According to him, the agreement reflects the “shared commitment” of Armenia and the United States to democracy, stability, and progress, providing Armenia with a “clear path toward a secure and prosperous future.”
