Armenia named among top adventure tourism destinations at ITB Berlin

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia has been awarded the prestigious PATWA prize at ITB Berlin, one of the world’s top tourism exhibitions, for being a leading adventure tourism destination. The announcement was made by Lusine Gevorgyan, head of Armenia’s Tourism Committee, on her Facebook page.

In addition to Armenia’s recognition for adventure tourism, Italy was named the top cultural and historical tourism destination, both securing PATWA awards at the event.

Armenia’s national pavilion featured approximately 15 companies from the country's tourism sector. The pavilion introduced new thematic areas, including cultural tourism, gastronomy, and wine tourism.

ITB Berlin, established in 1966, is one of the world's largest and most significant tourism exhibitions, hosting around 10,000 representatives from over 180 countries and regions.

Exhibitors at the event include hotels, tourism offices, tour operators, airlines, and car rental companies, showcasing top travel destinations and tourism packages worldwide.
