Armenian Ombudsman's office marks 5th anniversary

PanARMENIAN.Net - An international conference on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the establishment of Armenian Ombudsman's office is underway in Yerevan. Representatives of governing agencies, international and local NGOs, diplomatic missions.



Ombudsman Armen Harutyunyan said his office annually receives some 6 thousand applications and complaints. He said the main achievement was that both the authorities and opposition accepted independence of the human rights defender's institute.
