Alexander Lukashenko decided against asking Russia for money
Byelorussian President Alexander Lukashenko demanded the government to stop pleading Russia for support and instead try to establish trade-and economic relations in other directions. "We can't manage it with Russia, so we'd better not beg and plead. We have to try our luck in different part of the planet. And I'm quite conscious of what I'm saying," Lukashenko stated at the discussion on social and economic development of Byelorussia.

Addressing the Government he called on them to form economy and policy as a sovereign state, Interfax reported.
