Armenian PM sends message to newly elected Pope

PanARMENIAN.Net - Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan congratulated Pope Leo XIV on his election and emphasized Armenia’s commitment to strengthening relations with the Holy See.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a congratulatory message to Pope Leo XIV on his election as the Supreme Pontiff of Rome.

In his message, Pashinyan reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to deepening its dialogue with the Holy See.

The message reads: “Your Holiness, I warmly congratulate you on your election as the Supreme Pontiff of Rome.

I sincerely hope that your divinely inspired mission will contribute to the establishment of peace, justice, and tolerance across the world.

I reaffirm Armenia’s commitment to further deepening and developing interstate relations with the Holy See and the existing high-level political dialogue, based on our historic ties, shared values, and common spiritual and Christian cultural heritage.

Taking this opportunity, I wish you good health and success in your noble and humanitarian mission. Please accept, Your Holiness, the assurances of my deepest respect.”
