Armenia, Azerbaijan support each other on EPC summits

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia and Azerbaijan have supported each other in hosting the European Political Community (EPC) summits in their respective countries. This was announced by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on X.

“Armenia will host the summit in the spring of 2026, and Azerbaijan will do so in 2028,” Pashinyan stated.

“I welcome the decision to hold the summit in Azerbaijan in 2028. It is important to emphasize that Armenia and Azerbaijan supported each other’s candidacies to host EPC summits,” he wrote.

Earlier, Pashinyan also shared via his Facebook page that Armenia is honored to host European leaders and thanked all those who supported the decision.

“It is an honor to welcome the leaders of the European Political Community to our country, and I thank all leaders for supporting this decision,” he wrote.

The European Political Community is an intergovernmental platform bringing together leaders of European states to discuss strategic topics such as security, energy, migration, infrastructure, democracy, and rule of law. It was launched in 2022 at the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron to provide a forum for dialogue between EU members and neighboring countries.

The first EPC summit took place in Prague in October 2022. During that summit, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev recognized each other’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
