Pashinyan: no war between Armenia and Azerbaijan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated that lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan is not only possible but also within reach. He made the remarks during the second “Yerevan Dialogue” international forum, according to Aysor.am .

“Despite all provocations, there will be no war between Armenia and Azerbaijan. There will be peace, and to me, that is unequivocal,” Pashinyan said.

He emphasized that Armenia is ready to take every possible step under its control to establish peace. “We are committed to the peace agenda and determined to continue consultations with Azerbaijan on signing a peace treaty and other related documents that could fundamentally change the region’s future,” he added.

On March 13, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it had accepted Azerbaijan’s proposals concerning two previously unresolved articles of the peace agreement and declared that the document was ready for signing. Armenia expressed readiness to begin consultations on the timing and venue for the signing. However, Baku has introduced new preconditions and stated it is premature to discuss dates for the meeting.
