Slovak PM honors Armenian Genocide victims

PanARMENIAN.Net - On May 27, a delegation led by Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Robert Fico visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial, accompanied by Armenia’s Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan, Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan, and First Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Armen Pambukhchyan.

Prime Minister Fico laid a wreath at the memorial honoring the victims of the Armenian Genocide. The guests then approached the eternal flame, placed flowers, and observed a minute of silence in memory of the innocent victims.

At the conclusion of the visit, Robert Fico walked through the Memory Park and planted a silver fir tree in honor of the Genocide victims.

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot also visited Tsitsernakaberd, accompanied by his Armenian counterpart. He laid a wreath and paid tribute to the memory of the genocide victims.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Jean-Noël Barrot also attended the unveiling ceremony of a memorial stone dedicated to Admiral Louis Dartige du Fournet.

Prime Minister Robert Fico of Slovakia and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot are in Armenia to participate in the Yerevan Dialogue conference.
