RA Deputy FM: Armenia seeks stronger ties with Ireland![]() May 31, 2025 - 14:29 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - During a meeting with Catherine Bennon, the newly appointed Ambassador of Ireland to Armenia (residing in Sofia), Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mnatsakan Safaryan stated that Armenia is interested in developing multifaceted relations with Ireland. Expressing gratitude for the well wishes, Ambassador Bennon emphasized her commitment to putting forth maximum effort to strengthen the friendly ties between the two countries and enrich the bilateral agenda. The meeting covered a range of issues concerning Armenia–Ireland bilateral relations. The parties discussed the deepening of political dialogue, expansion of parliamentary contacts, and the promotion of cooperation in sectors such as economy, communications, tourism, and high technologies. Mnatsakan Safaryan presented Armenia’s efforts aimed at establishing lasting peace in the region, with special emphasis on the "Crossroads of Peace" initiative. At the end of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continue working together to further strengthen bilateral relations. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
