ANC: Honorable Nikol should respond to Slanderer Nikol

PanARMENIAN.Net - Levon Zurabyan, Vice President of the Armenian National Congress, responded on Facebook to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s claim that “Levon Ter-Petrosyan is the founder of the election rigging practice in Armenia,” stating that “Honorable Nikol should best respond to Slanderer Nikol.”

Zurabyan quoted from Pashinyan’s interview with Nver Mnatsakanyan, specifically where Pashinyan discussed the origins of electoral fraud in Armenia.

“Pay attention to two of Nikol’s assurances:

‘You know what, please don’t question my honesty, because I’m always honest.’

‘I’m generally used to and responsible for every word I say.’

Now judge for yourselves: whom should we believe—Nikol the Slanderer or Nikol the Honorable?”

He then provided the transcript:

“– When was the foundation of what you describe laid?

– The foundation of what?

– Illegitimate power, illegal elections...

– The foundation of this kleptocratic system was laid after October 27, 1999.

– Go a bit further back.

– You may want to go further back; I’m answering your question.

– I want you to be honest. Go a bit further back.

– You know what, please don’t question my honesty, because I’m always honest, and I’m answering your question. You asked me when the foundation was laid. I say the foundation was laid after October 27, 1999. And this power, this kleptocratic system, was directly born on October 27 by the hand of Nairi Hunanyan.

Today, the same defendants in the October 27 case, whose criminal cases were unlawfully dropped, occupy the highest levels of power. Nairi Hunanyan’s friends now head the Public Television and brainwash people daily with Hunanyanist ideas.

– Let’s not insult people. Let’s not cross the line.

– You know, I’ll tell you, I am always responsible for every word I say,” the post read.

Armenia’s first President Levon Ter-Petrosyan visited the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin for a private conversation with Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II. “During the meeting, the President expressed his full support to the Catholicos, strongly condemning the unconstitutional encroachment of Armenian authorities on the 1700-year-old Armenian Church,” stated the Mother See.

Reacting to Ter-Petrosyan’s visit and support for the Catholicos, Pashinyan wrote on Facebook that Ter-Petrosyan “of course stands by another fraudster and hater of the people like himself.”

“Levon Ter-Petrosyan is the founder of the practice of electoral fraud in the Republic of Armenia, and he of course stands with a fellow fraudster and hater of the people,” Pashinyan wrote.
