Satik Seyranyan: this is a war against identity and statehood

PanARMENIAN.Net - Editor-in-chief of 168.am , Satik Seyranyan, wrote on her Facebook page that she accepts the challenge of what she calls a war.

“I have said we must accept that what is happening has only one name—war. This is a war against our State, our Identity, our Land, our Church, our sacred values, our children, our Everything. Our future conduct and actions must align with this reality.

The enemy is not only external but has long been within. Therefore, we must describe it accurately: this is a war against Armenians.

He wants blood, a civil war. That is what his masters have ordered.

So what must we do? Act as in war,” she wrote.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan earlier stated that “the Armenian Apostolic Church must elect a new Catholicos” and urged believers to unite “to peacefully and in Christian love liberate the Mother See and rally around the agenda of electing a truly sacred spiritual leader as Catholicos of All Armenians.” He wrote this in a Facebook post.

“Кarekin II has violated the vow of celibacy he voluntarily undertook and has a child. This is a fact, and if he tries to deny it, I will prove it in the appropriate format. Therefore, Кarekin II could not have been a bishop, archbishop, nor could he be elected or remain Catholicos. Ktrich Nersisyan must vacate the Mother See,” the Prime Minister wrote.
