Armenian, Finnish FMs discuss ties![]() June 17, 2025 - 11:20 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held a phone conversation with Finnish Foreign Minister and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Elina Valtonen. The two discussed ongoing cooperation between Armenia and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe. Mirzoyan and Valtonen also exchanged views on developments in the region. Mirzoyan briefed his counterpart on recent Armenia-Azerbaijan peace negotiations, emphasizing progress toward a peace treaty. They further discussed the agenda of bilateral cooperation between Armenia and Finland and upcoming interactions, notably referencing Mirzoyan’s visit to Helsinki in November 2024. On the night of June 13, Israeli Air Force targeted at least six military bases near Tehran. Iranian media said residential areas in Tehran and other cities were also struck. Among the targets was the IRGC headquarters in Tehran. Iran’s armed forces warned of devastating retaliation. The IRGC later announced the launch of “True Promise 3” in response, following a speech by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei vowing a harsh answer to Israel. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
