Abu Dhabi hosts new Pashinyan-Aliyev peace talks![]() July 10, 2025 - 11:10 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev have begun their bilateral meeting in Abu Dhabi, as part of ongoing peace process efforts. The news was confirmed by Armenian Prime Minister’s spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan. “In Abu Dhabi, within the framework of the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, a bilateral meeting between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has commenced,” read her official post. The Armenian delegation includes Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan, Deputy Prime Minister and head of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border delimitation commission Mher Grigoryan, and Deputy Speaker of Parliament and Armenia’s special representative for Armenia-Turkey normalization Ruben Rubinyan. Representing Azerbaijan are Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Deputy Prime Minister and head of the border delimitation commission Shahin Mustafayev, presidential advisor Hikmet Hajiyev, and special representative Elchin Amirbekov. Prime Minister Pashinyan arrived in Abu Dhabi on July 9. That day, he met with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Pashinyan and Aliyev last met on May 16 in Tirana during the European Political Community summit. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
