The khachkar was extended to the Museum by the Armenian government for a 5-year team.The khachkar was brought from Geghard to New York in 1994. Presently, due to repair works in the UN headquarters, it was transported to a safer place. The agreement was achieved during RA President Serzh Sargsyan's visit to New York last year.
