Georgia officially drops out of CIS
The Parliament of Georgia unanimously adopted two resolutions "About Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of CIS", according to which the formal procedure of withdraw from the Commonwealth has been finalized. On Friday after two-month interval the legislative authority of the country gathered for a plenary session, despite continuing rallies of the Georgian opposition.

"Georgia has already left CIS. There is an official letter in that connection, which I sent to relative bodies of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly a year ago. Therefore today we finalize that process legally and with formal resolution," David Barkadze, Georgian parliament speaker said, Novosti-Georgia reports.
