
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s plane, originally en route to Moscow, was forced to land in St. Petersburg during the night of December 11 due to a temporary closure of Moscow’s airspace. The information was shared by government spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan.
“The government aircraft was unable to land because of a temporary airspace closure over Moscow. It was redirected to St. Petersburg and landed safely at Pulkovo Airport,” she wrote.
Pashinyan resumed his journey the following morning, flying to Moscow to attend the regular session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council as well as an international conference on cooperation in science and technology.
Upon arrival at Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport, he was welcomed by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin.
The Armenian government confirmed that Prime Minister Pashinyan is on a working visit to the Russian Federation from December 11 to 12.
