
Andranik Yeghoyan, Secretary of the Human Rights Defender's Office of Armenia, met with a delegation from the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) in Yerevan to discuss the rights of missing soldiers and civilians, as well as their families.
During the meeting, Yeghoyan presented the Ombudsman's efforts in this area, highlighting both achievements and ongoing challenges.
Key issues related to the field were discussed, including ways to further cooperation in human rights protection and the potential for launching new joint initiatives.
Previously, Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan stated that the government had consistently taken steps to address the issues of captives and missing persons. Several captives have been repatriated, and some clarity has been achieved regarding missing individuals.
