With the blessing of His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, and at the initiative of diocesan priests of the Armenian Apostolic Church, a Holy and Immortal Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Diocese of Shirak—Saint Seven Wounds Church in Gyumri—on December 20 at 10:00 a.m. The occasion marks the Feast of St. Abgar the First Martyr and the first king to believe in Christ.

"At the conclusion of the Holy Mass, prayers will be offered to God for the unlawfully imprisoned Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, Archbishop Arshak Khachatryan, Bishop Mkrtich Proshyan, Father Garegin Arsenyan, national philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan, and for all those unjustly imprisoned or held captive," the announcement reads.
