On December 15, Armenia’s Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan addressed the Tourism Committee’s annual wrap-up event, highlighting development trends in the sector.
“This year has been one of regulation, stabilization, and progress for tourism, marked by high numbers of tourist visits, with some months even showing record-breaking results,” Papoyan said.
He emphasized that the recorded growth is the result of the government’s consistent and targeted policy aimed at diversifying markets and boosting Armenia’s international recognition.
Tourism Committee Chair Lusine Gevorgyan presented key 2025 achievements, including major conferences, festivals, and Armenia’s participation in international platforms, all contributing to sectoral advancement.
The event was attended by Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan, Deputy Chair of Parliament’s Economic Affairs Committee Babken Tunyan, UN Resident Coordinator Françoise Jacob, Wine Foundation Director Zaruhi Muradyan, as well as tourism industry representatives and foreign diplomats.
