Mkrtchyan, Мast discuss deepening U.S.-Armenia ties

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Ambassador to the United States Narek Mkrtchyan and U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast met on December 18 to discuss a broad range of issues related to Armenia–U.S. strategic cooperation.

The parties also reviewed the implementation process of the agreements reached in Washington on August 8, as well as the emerging regional dynamics and prospects for future initiatives resulting from those agreements.

On August 8, during a trilateral meeting at the White House, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, U.S. President Donald Trump, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a Joint Declaration summarizing the outcome of the talks.

In the presence of the heads of state, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov preliminarily signed a draft agreement titled “On the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.”
