Russian President Vladimir Putin held a private meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Saint Petersburg, according to RIA Novosti. No additional information about the conversation was provided.

Pashinyan had traveled to Russia to attend the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council session, as well as the informal summit of CIS leaders, which traditionally takes place in the final days of December in Saint Petersburg.

Their previous bilateral talks took place in September 2025 at the Kremlin, when Pashinyan was in Moscow for the Global Atomic Forum alongside other international delegates.
