The couple has been charged under Article 507, Part 1 of Armenia’s Criminal Code for failure to comply with a court ruling. The charges relate to the unauthorized sale of assets under restriction as part of a civil forfeiture process targeting property of illegal origin. According to the indictment, among several other assets, the Tsarukyans sold Gorna Banya Bottling Company LLC, a firm registered in Bulgaria that was under seizure at the time. On February 19, 2024, in the Kotayk region's notarial district, the Tsarukyans issued a power of attorney to Davit Mantashyan, authorizing him to manage the company’s shares at his discretion. Meanwhile, a separate trial involving the Tsarukyans and associates regarding the confiscation of property of illegal origin has been ongoing in the Anti-Corruption Court since 2023.
