U.S. Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment Jacob Helberg wrote on X after visiting Azerbaijan that the TRIPP project “will permanently change the South Caucasus region.”
“Vice President J.D. Vance’s historic visit laid a strong foundation for regional stability and shared economic growth,” he wrote.
Earlier, Helberg had also referred to his visit to Armenia.
“Vice President J.D. Vance has just concluded his historic trip as the first American vice president to visit Armenia. The TRIPP project will open a new chapter in the Caucasus. From Yerevan, on the first direct flight to Baku, Azerbaijan,” he wrote.
Earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that TRIPP Company, a joint Armenian-American enterprise, will be registered in Armenia and will obtain the right to develop the necessary infrastructure for railways, roads, oil and gas pipelines, as well as fiber-optic cables.
