Armenia national team captain and Krasnodar midfielder Eduard Spertsyan is waiting for a suitable offer, former Spartak Moscow and Armenia international footballer Araz Ozbiliz said.
He noted that Spertsyan approaches his profession with great professionalism, Metaratings.ru reports.
“He is waiting for the right offer to make a move. If he wants to build a European career, he has to take the first step. He should move to a club that is not among the strongest and then gradually progress to bigger teams,” Ozbiliz said.
He also responded to a question about whether Spertsyan has replaced Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the national team.
“No one will replace Henrikh. We are talking about a footballer who has played in four European competition finals. I don’t even know when the next Armenian player will be able to achieve such success,” he said.
Spertsyan’s transfer value is estimated at €25 million. In the first part of the season, he made 25 appearances for Krasnodar, scoring nine goals and providing 12 assists.
