Leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party and founder of the “Proposal to Armenia” initiative Gagik Tsarukyan said the country’s political life should not become a platform for geopolitical clashes.
He presented several key principles of his electoral program and his vision for Armenia’s future, describing it as an invitation to open and substantive dialogue with international partners and the diplomatic corps accredited in Armenia.
According to Tsarukyan, the upcoming political processes and elections should not be viewed as a geopolitical choice between global power centers, but rather as a competition of ideas, programs and approaches to state development within constitutional and democratic procedures.
“All internal changes must be implemented through constitutional procedures. We are convinced that strengthening the legitimacy and predictability of political processes is the foundation of state stability and public trust,” he said.
Tsarukyan added that his team will soon present its foreign policy concept, which will outline how Armenia plans to restore balance, reliability and stability in relations with partners.
According to him, the basis of Armenia’s foreign policy strategy should be the restoration of strategic and predictable balance, with the country building partnerships with major international actors including Russia, the United States, the European Union, China and India, as well as neighboring states.
He also emphasized the need for Armenia to become an open country for investment, infrastructure projects, and new opportunities.
Tsarukyan noted that Armenia has significant potential to develop regional transport hubs and communication routes, which could strengthen its role as a connector between economic regions.
At the same time, he stressed the importance of developing a technology-driven economy, supporting innovation and expanding digital infrastructure.
According to him, investments, infrastructure projects and technological development not only ensure economic growth but also create the foundation for long-term stability and regional influence.
Tsarukyan also highlighted the role of the Armenian diaspora, saying its potential should be seen not only as a resource but also as a factor that expands Armenia’s strategic depth.
“We plan to involve the diaspora in economic, technological, scientific and cultural projects, which will strengthen Armenia’s stability and its role on the international stage. Our goal is to create a modern network system of cooperation among Armenians around the world,” he said.
Tsarukyan added that his team includes specialists with experience in public administration and international cooperation, capable of making balanced decisions for the country’s development.
“Our goal is to build a stable, secure and developing Armenia — a state that strengthens its institutions, restores strategic balance in foreign policy and fully unlocks the potential of its people. We see Armenia as a country that connects regions and creates opportunities for cooperation,” he said.
Earlier, Tsarukyan announced that he will participate in the 2026 parliamentary elections with the “Proposal to Armenia” initiative.
According to him, the initiative aims to unite people around a common idea and program to help the country overcome its current challenges.
