Pashinyan targets opposition in sharp address

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has issued a sharp message to opposition forces, accusing them of electoral violations and warning they will face the voters’ judgment.

In a Facebook video address titled “Message to the Three Heads,” Pashinyan referred to three opposition leaders—former president Robert Kocharyan, businessman Samvel Karapetyan, and Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan—using harsh language.

“The taste of Armenia will remain in your mouths, the three heads of the party of war,” Pashinyan said, addressing the opposition forces that have applied to participate in the upcoming elections.

He reiterated his earlier тезис that “this is not Nizhni Tapr village,” emphasizing that voters will deliver their verdict on June 7, 2026.

“You will receive the answer of the citizen of Armenia. The citizen whom you number, package, and think you can buy and spend will package you like a product and put you where you belong,” he stated.

The remarks come in the context of statements by the Anti-Corruption Committee, which reported uncovering cases of alleged vote-buying and violations of the ban on charity during the election period.

According to the Committee, a group of individuals opened an office of the Mer Dzevov NGO in Metsamor, where residents of Armavir were formally registered and instructed to recruit voters for the “Strong Armenia” party led by Samvel Karapetyan. The alleged bribes were presented as salaries, while in another case money was distributed under the guise of charity.
