Nzhar, I Am Against Everyone movements unite

A new cooperation has emerged in Armenia’s extra-parliamentary field, as the Nzhar and I Am Against Everyone movements have united ahead of the elections.

Nina Karapetyants, co-founder of the Nzhar movement, said at a press conference that the two initiatives share almost identical goals, Pastinfo reports.

“Both we and the I Am Against Everyone project had nearly identical objectives. The latter operated on a smaller scale, and there was no issue. In the process of obtaining agreement from those joining, no major disagreements arose. As promised, Nzhar did not register as another party, because our goal was not to create yet another political party. Our aim was to unite like-minded individuals with honest motivations and to create an environment where ideas serve Armenia’s interests rather than small groups. Therefore, our unification was very logical. We have always said that elites must form in politics, alongside healthy generational change,” Karapetyants said.

According to her, this cooperation may have a long-term nature: initially, they will participate in the elections in a certain format, with the possibility of continuing joint initiatives later.

“With a single-step toolkit, it is impossible to break the system, the ‘matrix’ that has formed over years and decades. This ‘matrix’ prevents smaller forces, without significant financial resources or administrative tools, from being represented. As a result, many people remain unrepresented and cannot have their voice in parliament. Therefore, at this moment, this was the best option. There is very little time left before the elections. Naturally, we will continue this process and simultaneously carry out other actions, trying to operate with a different logic,” she said.

Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 7, 2026.
